Shiva in Motion

Helping families of children with HIE at birth access care, support, and possibility.

Shiva in Motion provides charitable grants for restorative and neurorehabilitative care, educational resources, and peer support.

Our Mission

Shiva in Motion is a nonprofit inspired by our son Shiva’s story of resilience and recovery. We provide charitable grants for medically supervised restorative and neurorehabilitative care, educational resources, peer support, and resource navigation for families of children with HIE at birth—grounded in safety, provider standards, and equitable access.

Why It Matters

No family should navigate this path alone.

Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy changes everything. Families face a complex, often overwhelming landscape of therapies, providers, and emerging care options—with little guidance on what is safe, credible, or accessible.

Shiva in Motion was created because a family lived that experience. Our son Shiva’s story is the reason this organization exists. The mission is for every family like ours: to make it possible to access trustworthy care without facing the financial and informational burden alone.

We are in our founding year. Shiva in Motion is actively building its grant program, provider standards, and operational infrastructure. We are committed to transparency at every stage. As our programs are finalized, this site will be updated to reflect our policies and 501(c)(3) status.
